Getting Started

Front door

Treatment usually starts with consultation and referral from your primary care physician. An evaluation at Behavioral Medicine Clinic will lead to development of a problem and person specific treatment plan of usually 6-12 sessions. Goals center around decreasing presenting symptoms, learning to control and prevent symptom flare ups, fostering improved self care and wellbeing, and managing present and future stressors through effective problem solving and responsible choice.

Most insurance plans cover some of the cost of treatment. We work with Medicare and the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries as well as large private local insurers, e.g. Regence. We do not accept Medicaid or United Behavioral Health.

Calling our office at 360-456-5546 can start the process with Carole or Sandy helping you clarify cost and coverage and scheduling to minimize that stress as you seek the benefits of behavioral treatment.
